Your chance to support threatened libraries


Libraries across the country are being hit hard by government cuts to local authority budgets. This online petition calls for the Government to ringfence funding to ensure councils can fulfil their statutory duty to keep libraries services available to the general public.

It needed 10,000 signatures to illicit a response from the Government and is now approaching 33,000 but more are needed to keep the pressure  up.

As Crime Writers’ Association Libraries Champion in Scotland, I urge you to sign it.
