Delighted to say that the latest in the DCI John Blizzard series published by The Book Folks is attracting some encouraging reviews on Amazon. I am very grateful.

In The Latch Man, Doris Hornsby, the bed-bound matriarch of a notorious criminal family, calls in the police after she sees an intruder in her room. Blizzard attends in person, bemused that a woman who has spent her life evading the law, now seeks its protection.

Meeting her, he senses a genuine fear. There are suspicions that the unwelcome guest was the infamous burglar The Latch Man; a gentleman thief’, he has never harmed a soul. However, when the woman is later found to have died, Blizzard senses that something is afoot.

What he discovers will shake the community to its core, scaring criminals and law-abiding folk alike. Rivalries that have been simmering for years come to the fore, and Blizzard must stop the case from snowballing into further tragedy.

The Latch Man is the eighth standalone title in a series of murder mysteries set in the fictional city of Hafton in northern England. It can be enjoyed on its own or alongside the other books.
The list of other books is as follows:
1. THE LONG DEAD
2. STRANGE LITTLE GIRL
3. THE RAILWAY MAN
4. THE SECRETS MAN
5. A BREACH OF TRUST
6. DEATH LIST
7. A FLICKER IN THE NIGHT
