Novelist John Dean is running an online mentoring and writing workshop programme for aspiring authors, ideal for people seeking something to do under current virus-related restrictions.
John, who is based in Dumfries and Galloway, has had nineteen crime novels published and is with London-based The Book Folks, said: “Writing can be a lonely enough pastime as it is, even without the current restrictions on people’s movements. With the new restrictions, digital learning will be even more important and offers a great way for writers to stay in touch with each other.
“My programmes help writers tackle some of the many challenges that writing throws their way. We identify the differences between good and great writing and point out an author’s strengths and weaknesses so that they become more confident.” The programme includes long-term mentoring and short writing courses and can be tailored to fit the individual writer’s requirements or those of entire writing groups. More information on course details and costs is available from John at deangriss@btinternet.com
