Author Ian Robinson has a new crime novel out - and it’s attracting plenty of glowing reviews.
Criminal Justice (The Book Folks) introduces undercover police officer Sam Batford, a man who walks the narrow line between successful detective and corrupt cop. The novel sees him sent to work with a serious crime team in London in an investigation which sees him play the good guys off against the bad guys in a tense story.

I love this book for so many reasons, one of which is the way that introduces a terrific character. Sam Batford is one of those characters that has the reader guessing; is he a good guy or a villain? The reader is never quite sure as he walks a narrow line between effective undercover cop and corrupt detective.

This is crime fiction at its very best; Batford is backed by a cast of compelling characters, breathless action and a story told with plenty of pace and tension, all narrated with an authoritative voice and a masterful sense of place that offers the reader a glimpse into a world that is, thankfully, hidden from most of us.

I look forward eagerly to what Ian Robinson produces next and we should not have long to wait because, according to his publisher The Book Folks, Criminal Justice is the first book in a series with the next one, Status Drift, coming soon.

You can purchase the book on Amazon.
