Darlington for Culture (DfC), which was set up late last year to help save Darlington Arts Centre, has organised two writing workshops, one for adults, one for young people, to be held on Tuesday August 30.
The books and writing day will launch the week-long Summer Fling organised at the Vane Terrace centre by DfC, a Community Benefit Society, a type of co-operative. There will be a range of events, including a book fair and appearances by local authors.
The courses are :
10-4 Day-long children’s workshop with arts centre tutor Lynn Miller. For children aged 9-14. They will write and perform a story - and all in a day. Cost £20 Booking on (01325) 486555.
2-4 Creating the perfect villain – A crime writing workshop taken by Darlington crime novelist John Dean. Cost £13 Booking on (01325) 486555.
