I am pleased to say that the latest in the DCI John Blizzard series, published by The Book Folks, is continuing to attract complimentary reviews and ratings. Writing can be a solitary business and feedback from readers is deeply appreciated by authors.

In The Latch Man, Doris Hornsby, the bed-bound matriarch of a notorious criminal family, calls in the police after she sees an intruder in her room. Blizzard attends in person, bemused that a woman who has spent her life evading the law, now seeks its protection.

Meeting her, he senses genuine fear and there are suspicions that the unwelcome guest was the infamous burglar The Latch Man; a gentleman thief who has never harmed a soul. When an elderly woman is murdered  in a neighbouring village, Blizzard suspects that the thief has changed.

What he discovers will shake the community to its core, scaring criminals and law-abiding folk alike.
