Competition will help with rail celebration
Authors are being asked to help celebrate the 200th anniversary of the world’s first passenger railway by entering a rail-themed writing competition.
The Stockon and Darlington Railway was the setting for the historic journey in 1825 and a whole range of celebration events are being arranged to mark the occasion in 2025.
